WorkJournal App — Privacy Addendum
This section applies specifically to the WorkJournal iOS and Apple Watch app published by Fullmoonstar LLC.
Summary: WorkJournal stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. The only external integration is Apple HealthKit, which requires your explicit permission.
Data Collection
WorkJournal does not collect any personal information. All workout data — including exercises, sets, reps, weights, and workout history — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. No data is transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Apple HealthKit Integration
WorkJournal integrates with Apple HealthKit to enhance your fitness tracking experience. This integration is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission through iOS system prompts.
- Data we read (with your permission): Heart rate and active energy burned during workouts — used to display real-time workout metrics.
- Data we write (with your permission): Completed workout sessions — saved to Apple Health so they appear in the Fitness app and contribute to your Activity rings.
- We do not: Access, store, or transmit your HealthKit data to any external server, third party, or advertising network.
- Our use of HealthKit data complies with Apple's HealthKit Developer Guidelines. HealthKit data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes.
Apple Watch & WatchConnectivity
Workout data is synced between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This communication happens directly between your paired devices over a secure, encrypted channel. No data passes through our servers.
Data Storage & Control
- Local storage only: All data is stored on-device using Apple's SwiftData.
- No cloud sync: WorkJournal does not sync data to any cloud service.
- No accounts: No login, email, or account creation required.
- No analytics or tracking: No third-party analytics, advertising, or crash reporting services.
- Data export: Export your workout data as JSON from Settings > Export Workout Data.
- Data deletion: Delete all data from Settings > Delete All Data, or uninstall the app.
Children's Privacy
WorkJournal is not directed at children under 13. Since WorkJournal collects no personal information from any user, this is addressed by design.
